Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong will be making a comeback as a singer this June.
On April 28, Japan media revealed that Kim Hyun Joong will be making a comeback in Japan with his new song, "Hot Sun" on June 18. This is his first comeback in Japan in a year.
The new rock song was produced by Steven Lee.
Lee also worked on Kim Hyun Joong's Japanese debut album, reports Yahoo Celebrity Philippines.
Kim's other song, "Timing", will also feature Japanese group AAA member Mitsuhiro Hidaka, who will be showcasing his rap skills.
Fans should expect changes in Kim Hyung Joong's musical direction as well as his new look. ^^
The Japanese media outlet Nikkan Sports has reported, "The new album jacket is shocking. You wil be able to enjoy Kim Hyung Joong's extreme make over."
Kim's upcoming album is expected to be successful because his third Japanese single "Tonight" reportedly sold over 100,000 copies on the first day of its release last June.
"I'm happy to be returning to Japan in a long time. The new song has the quality that surpasses that of any other songs that I have released so far. Please look forward to it," stated Kim Hyung Joong to his fans.
The new album will be released in 5 limited edition versions and 1 regular edition.
Kim will also be attending an event for KBS2's "The Age of Feeling" in Yokohama on May 31.
Kim Hyung Joong has reportedly been looking to change his image for a while now.
His roles in "Boys Over Flowers" and "Playful Kiss" were relatively similar, keeping Kim prone to play sensitive, boyish characters that girls fawned over.
Kim has now evolved into tougher roles including the part of street fighter Shin Jung Tae in "Inspiring Generation."
The actor and singer recently told Chosun Ilbo, "I am 28 years old now so I probably shouldn't be called an idol anymore. I want to show my maturity, whether I do so through my personality or music. I'm looking forward to presenting a more manly image."
