[Article] Fans Gift SS501 with Forest in Seoul to Celebrate 9th Anniversary

A forest has been built in Seoul under SS501’s name.

Tree Planet revealed on July 22, “ ‘SS501 forest’ has been built in Mapo district.”

‘SS501 forest’ is a forest that celebrates SS501’s 9th anniversary since the debut and it has been built through the Star Forest Project, which is a part of the green forest project carried out by the city of Seoul and social venture group, Tree Planet.

The SS501 forest was created by the group’s fans from in and out of Korea. The forest also carries the fans’ hope for SS501 to begin promotions again as a team.

The participating fans stated, “It’s a forest that has been made to congratulate SS501 on the 9th anniversary but we’re happy to think that this project will positively contribute to the city’s environment. We yearn for the day to see all members of SS501 on the same stage and hope that this forest will provide the opportunity for the members to meet with the fans again.”

Meanwhile, Tree Planet has so far built a forest under the names of 2NE1, Shinhwa, TVXQ, Infinite, Lee Hyori, SHINee, EXO’s D.O, Baek Hyun and more.

[News] Kim Hyung-jun to Go Sweet in New Duet Song

Korean singer-actor Kim Hyung-jun will sweeten up this summer with a new duet song.

Kim will release his new tune “The Two of Us” (translated title) and its music video next Tuesday at noon Korea Time, an official with SPLUS Entertainment told TenAsia on Friday.

The acoustic medium R&B song, partly produced by the 26-year-old singer himself, is a lovely duet tune collaborated with Sunny Hill’s main vocalist Kota.

The new music video, directed by Kim Do-yeon of IU’s “Last Fantasy,” will be about lovers who get to confirm their feelings during a trip with friends.

Japanese version of “The Two of Us” will be roll out soon and the tune will also be listed in Kim’s upcoming special album at the end of the year.

In regards to female idols with blood type O, 2NE1's Minzy, SNSD Taeyeon's fellow group members Sooyoung and Tiffany fall into the blood type O category, along with f(x)'s Sulli, Brown Eyed Girls's Jea, Secret's Jieun, Davichi's Minkyung, Miss A's Jia, Wonder Girls' Yubin and Lim, T-ara's Hyomin, Eunjung, and Hwayoung.

Korean singer-actor Kim Hyung-jun successfully wrapped up his third Japan live tour over the weekend.

Kim, who is busying with his MBC series “Pots of Gold,” wrapped up his one-month live tour “KIM HYUNG JUN 2013 WHO AM I” at Nagoya’s Meitetsu Hall last Saturday, his agency S Plus Company said in a press release Tuesday.

The all-around entertainer performed live his solo tunes “Sorry I’m Sorry,” “Girl,” “LONG NIGHT,” “oH, aH!” as well as his original soundtracks “Sign,” “Sweet, Everyday” and shared his acting experience with highlight clips from “The Shining Girl” and “Late Blossom” which he starred in.

The aforementioned two TV dramas are slated to hit airwaves on Japan’s Hallyu cable channel DATV again from August, proving the great popularity of 25-year-old star who was recently appointed as the new face of a travel company or LOTTE JTB

The rising Hallyu star is in negotiations regarding his South America tour with his heightened popularity in the region, an official with S Plus Company added in the statement.
